Tyra Banks Date Rape Experiment
During an episode of Tyra. Tyra Banks held a date rape experiment. Where she hired actors to try and get the girls to go with them or give them information so they could rape them.
The only girl that passed Tyra’s test was the one that had a plan. All the other girls went to the guys’ cars.
I found the experiment to be empowering for women because it shows that just by taking a few easy precautions that they will avoid the tragic aftermath of being raped or killed. Male predators know what to look for in an easy target and just by sticking to the plan a woman will thwart the predator’s advances.
A plan can be as simple as staying with the group and never leaving with strange men. If the men want to buy drinks they can but only take them from the bartender. And have a good time.
These kinds of talk shows are good because they can provide useful information and spread the awareness. So that way there will be less victims and let women enjoy themselves.

It's great that she did a show on thsi topic. I think far too many young women put themselves in danger due to their ignorance when it comes to personal safety. Once drinking comes into play, there is really no logic in protecting yourself. Maybe programs like these will safe a life.
Although I think this is really important, I think that Tyra merly does these programs to get ratings and "shock" her viewers. If she really wanted to help women she should spend her money on rape charities instead of expanding her empire.
